Behind the portal

As you step beneath the great tree and into the shop, you notice faeries drift between the shelves, comparing bits of glass and ribbon.

Behind the counter, the shopkeeper finishes tying a paper parcel. She meets your gaze and inclines her head.

"Welcome," she says.
"You've found the Yggdrasil shop. We keep things that are useful, pleasant to live with, and hard to replace once lost."

She rests a hand on the counter as a faerie lands nearby, inspecting a dried stem.

"Some of what you see was grown, some gathered, some made slowly. The others will tell you if something suits you. They usually know."
